Every year, hundreds of new ophthalmologists graduate from residency programs across Europe,with few comprehending the challenges that lie aheading their professional journey.

Chances are, you were among them.

Let’s be honest; you signed up to practice medicine. But, with things like overhead, staffing, marketing andfinancial management, nobody told you how hard itwould be to run a practice. Universities trainophthalmologists to be great technicians but don’t do much in the way of teaching real-world businessacumen and entrepreneurial expertise.

There are lots of ways to learn how to make yourpractice better. You can read books, hire consultants,go to business programs, or just find out the hard waythrough trial and error (as many older refractivesurgeons did).

But, you don’t have to do this alone. Being an OPHTHALPRENEUR means that you’re a part of a community where ophthalmic business stakeholders come together to crowdsource solutions to common business problems like HR,marketing, leadership, management, training, IT, and other issues.
OPHTHALPRENEURS is a community that provides a supportive, learning-driven environment to help ophthalmologists expand their practices, providing their patients access to technologies beyond the publichealthcare environment.

Set amidst a serene backdrop away from the bustling city, this event is a special gathering for everyone in the patient-pay ophthalmic sector. Our aim? To provide a platform for genuine networking, deep insights, and engaging workshops that tap into the nuances of business ownership that are overlooking as part of medical school training.

We’ve structured the meeting to encourage teamwork and interaction. Join us for four enriching half-day plenary sessions (2 on Friday and 2 on Saturday), each honing in on distinct themes. These sessions promise lively dialogues between our speakers and attendees, rounding off with immersive workshops.

And to sprinkle in some informal bonding, coffee breaks, lunches, and dinners are included in the official program. It’s our little way to ensure everyone feels connected and part of the community. We look forward to seeing you there!
